K12Linux.org K12LTSP.org [ Road Trip Home | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday ] Today we gave out hundreds if not thousands of CD-Roms. We had a bunch of K12LTSP CD's, the FreeSoftware CD, and the Knoppix for Kids CD's that Harry McGregor from OSEF.org brought for us. We've had Doug Loss from seul.org/edu and Harry with us helping the kids and answering teachers' questions for the last two days. Harry even worked with one of our students to help write him writ his first computer program to burn the CD's faster! One job the kids have enjoyed is cruising the convention giving away software. Along the way they've managed to collect freebies from every vender here. I think we'll need a bigger van to bring it all home! ;-^) Tuesday night we went to GameWorks for a nice Dinner and 3 hours of video games. We're all tired but ready for one more day of NECC. |
